Upright, its keynotes are the long wealth, three generations in the arch, legacy grounded; reversed, it turns toward the estate quarrel, short money vs long money, inheritance tangled. In our engraving the scene keeps the suit's element close: earth rendered in indigo and candle gold, the card's emblems worked into fine copperplate linework with no text on the face.
